Stabburet won the Grand Prize
The bread spread category of Stabburet was awarded the Grand Prize at the 10th Orkla Innovation and Advertising Awards at Oslo Plaza on Wednesday evening.
The Orkla Innovation and Advertising Awards are an annual, in-house Orkla competition that is held to focus attention on the importance of advertising in our brand-building, and to reward the companies and persons who have produced the best advertising and the most innovative products in the past year. This was the tenth annual Orkla Awards
"It is a great honour for Stabburet to receive this prize, and it shows that our interdisciplinary efforts with bread spread have been noticed. I would like to thank all those involved for their outstanding efforts. The bread spread category is also an important part of our plans for growth," says CEO Bente Brevik of Stabburet.
Stabburet’s Nugatti Air, Stabbur-Makrell (canned mackerel), Fresh Liver Paté and Nora Stirred Jam together received the Grand Prize and also the price for Best New Launch Innovation Category for their combined innovations and total growth achieved.
Bread spread is one of the two largest product categories in Stabburet. What is unique in this category, is that all the important brands have grown significantly, many of them through new product launches, resulting in a total category contribution growth of 17%.
In the Best Relaunch Innovation Category, Krupskaya Chocolate received the prize.
The prize winners in the advertising categories were:
Best New Launch Advertising Category: Lilleborg with Define Men
Best Advertising for an Established Brand Category: Chips AB Finland with Taffel Kartanon / Herregård Chips
Best Use of Other Media Category: Beauvais Organic Tomato Ketchup
“We are impressed by many of the entries for this year’s competition and are pleased to see that the quality level is much improved, as innovation and effective advertising remain our two main tools for creating profitable growth,” says president of Orkla Brands, Torkild Nordberg, who also led the jury. The other jury members were Atle Vidar Johansen, Jan Ove Rivenes, Robert Sjøborg, Arve Heltne and John M. Jørgensen.
This year, a special honorary award was given to John M. Jørgensen in recognition of his influence on the development of brands, advertising and innovation in Orkla for more than 40 years.
