Dialogue with organisations
Orkla is a member of the UN Global Compact and participates in the Global Compact’s Nordic Countries network, which supports the exchange of experience and accumulation of expertise relating to relevant corporate responsibility issues.
Orkla is also a Transparancy International member and uses its membership to obtain input for the Group’s anti-corruption work.
Orkla and several of its companies are engaged in dialogue and collaboration with centres of expertise and special-interest organisations that can provide the companies with specialised advice and insights, or contribute to improvement efforts. Among other things, a number of the companies collaborate with the Swedish Igelösa Life Science Community and the Antidiabetic Food
Centre in Lund, Sweden, on research and development in the field of nutrition and health.
Orkla, Orkla Confectionery & Snacks Norge, Pierre Robert Group, Orkla Home & Personal Care (formerly Lilleborg) and Orkla Foods Norge are members of the Ethical Trading Initiative. Orkla Foods Sverige collaborates with a number of organisations in connection with its sustainability work, including the Marine Stewardship Council, the Keep Sweden Tidy Foundation and Friends.
Orkla conducts a regular dialogue with both the Norwegian Confederation of Trade Unions (LO) and special-interest organisations for food and agriculture. We also engage in a dialogue with environmental organisations such as Greenpeace, the Rainforest Foundation Norway and Framtiden i Våre Hender (The Future in Our Hands).
