Responsible investment
A thorough risk analysis is conducted in connection with all corporate acquisitions, in line with Orkla’s risk management procedures.
The purpose of the assessment is to identify all relevant risks, consider whether it will be possible to reduce existing risks to an acceptable level and identify any risks that suggest that the acquisition should not be made. Human rights contraventions, environmental impact, business ethics, management of natural resources and other responsibilities are among the issues considered. For risk assessments of this type, Orkla uses its international network of lawyers and auditors to find appropriate local consultants who can perform the necessary input analyses.
