Trains replace trailer transports

Procordia Food and the grocery chain Coop has started to transport a large number of the products between the two companies by train rather than by lorry. The transition to train transports reduces the number of kilometres travelled on the roads by 120 000 km per year and the CO2 emissions by 125 metric tons per year. Read more

New graphic profile for Orkla

After having had the same Orkla logo since 1986, a modification has now taken place. The logo has become three-dimensional and the bear has been altered slightly. As a result, the business areas of Orkla Brands, Orkla Financial Investments and Shared Services also have new logos. Read more

Recycling energy for heating

Mosjøen Fjernvarme supplies district heating to large parts of downtown Mosjøen. The plant recycles 15 GWh of energy from the foundry at Elkem Aluminium Mosjøen, which is equivalent to the thermal energy requirement for 1500 houses. Read more
 
 

Stronger focus on “green buildings”
