The UN Global Compact

Orkla has been supporting the Global Compact and the guidelines enshrined in this UN initiative since 2005. Almost 5,000 companies all over the world have joined the Global Compact since it was launched in 2000.

Orkla uses the Global Compact actively in its efforts to promote the right attitudes, in its internal and external communications, and in contacts with its business partners. Participation in the Global Compact is a commitment, and regular reporting is an important way of showing the results of Orkla's efforts over time. The summary below shows where more information may be found on our efforts to comply with the ten principles for sustainable development in recent years.
