Aktieselskabet Beauvais is acquiring Pastella A/S from Tholstrup Cheese A/S, which is owned by Arla Foods Amba.
Pastella is currently the market leader within fresh pasta in Denmark, Sweden, Finland and Holland. The company has its head office in Fredericia and factories in Fredericia and Skovlund. Pastella has an annual turnover of approximately DKK 130 million and employs 73 staff.
"The market for fresh pasta is growing and with the acquisition of Pastella we are strengthening our brand portfolio. We see considerable potential to further develop fresh pasta in the Nordic region," says Beauvais' Managing Director Per Fallang.
Aktieselskabet Beauvais produce and market a wide range of food products under the brands of Beauvais, FRESH Light, Risifrutti, Den Gamle Fabrik, Grandiosa and Glyngøre and is market leader within most of its product areas. Beauvais has a turnover of approximately DKK 650 million and employs 210 staff. Beauvais is a member of the international Orkla ASA group with its head office in Norway. Orkla had a turnover of approximately DKK 52.7 billion in 2006 and employs about 30,000 staff.
