New Managing Director at Orkla Foods

19.10.2005: Atle Vidar Johansen, 42, has been appointed the new managing director of Orkla Foods. He will assume his new position at the beginning of November 2005.

Atle Vidar comes from the position as marketing director at Orkla Foods International. For a period, he was also managing director of Kotlin, Superfish and Elbro in Poland. From 2001 to 2003, he was finance director at Orkla Foods.
From 1996 to 1999, Atle Vidar was finance director of Orkla's Snacks business and manager of economic planning and analysis at Orkla headquarters.
Atle Vidar is a business economist and authorised financial analyst. He is married with two children.
"We wish Atle Vidar Johansen the best of luck with his new challenges," says Orkla's Group President and CEO Dag J. Opedal, who becomes the new chairman of Orkla Foods' Board of Directors.
Orkla Foods posted operating revenues of NOK 12.7 billion in 2004 and employed a workforce equivalent to 7,067 man-years. The company has production in 14 countries, and comprises Stabburet, Procordia Food, Abba Seafood, Felix Fenno-Baltic, Beauvais, Orkla Foods International, Orkla Foods Russia & Ukraine, Orkla Food Ingredients and Bakers.
