How the application process at Orkla works

There are many roads into Orkla. The application process varies from position to position, but there are some common denominators for most candidates.

How do I submit my application?

When applying for a position at Orkla, you need to use our electronic platform. There you can upload your application, CV and references. Unfortunately, we do not accept open applications, but we recommend that you keep your eyes open for new job announcements on our career page. There, you can also choose to get notifications when positions you may be interested in are announced. You will receive a confirmation of this by email when you update your profile.

When do I get a response to the application?

We always make a thorough assessment of everyone who applies for a job with us. That means the time it takes before you get feedback or are invited to an interview can vary from case to case, depending on how many people apply. At the same time, we put a lot of emphasis on providing feedback as quickly as possible so that you do not have to wait unnecessarily long for an answer.

When hiring graduates or young applicants, we can also use different tests as part of the overall assessment before the first round of interviews.

How is the first interview done?

If we see that you are a relevant candidate for the position, you are invited for a first interview. The purpose of the interview is to get to know you better as a candidate. When we recruit for Brand Manager positions, the interview will often be replaced with recruitment days. Then you go through a case assignment, presentation and mini interviews.

Do I get tests or case assignments?

Between the first and second interviews, you often get tests or case assignments to be solved from home. We use the results to identify the candidate who best fits the position and our criteria. This is based on knowledge, qualities and abilities. Our HR staff are certified testers.

What happens at the second and third interview?

The purpose of a second interview is for us to get a deeper insight into your personality, and what traits, qualifications and skills you have. If you have taken tests or resolved a case to be presented, you will get a feedback on this.

Are my references checked?

A reference check will be conducted after the last interview.

When will I know if I've got the job?

After this process we will hopefully offer you a position with us. If so, you will be sent an offer and a contract of employment.

If you have any questions related to the recruitment process, you are welcome to contact us. We wish you the best of luck!
