Orkla is now looking for a new Senior Manager Indirect Tax to join our Group Tax department. We are looking for an ambitious and experienced colleague, to be a part of our team in Oslo. You will report to Head of Group Tax.

Responsibilities and tasks

  • Responsibility for following up Group companies regarding indirect taxes, such as VAT, customs duties, import duties and excise duties.
  • Responsibility for following up on indirect tax in M&A processes
  • Manage indirect tax audits, disputes and lawsuits
  • Improve the Group’s quality of reporting to both the authorities and the corporate center by working to improve our technical systems and our routines
  • Assisting in the management of the Group’s real estate portfolio, including lease of real estate
  • Assist the Group’s various departments for logistics and procurement etc., particularly across borders


  • The position requires financial or legal education at master’s level or equivalent
  • The position requires high competence on indirect tax in Norway and within the EU, and at least 8 years relevant experience
  • Excellent command of English, both written and oral, in addition to one of the Scandinavian languages
  • Good ability to convey complex indirect tax issues to group companies and to understand the Group companies’ need for assistance
  • Good commercial understanding of the Group companies’ activities
  • You like to work independently and to take responsibility for assigned tasks
