Karin Aslaksen leaves Orkla

EVP HR Karin Aslaksen leaves Orkla after a long career in Elkem/Orkla to seek new challenges outside the Group.


“I entered into the HR position to contribute to the transformation of the industrial Group of Orkla. This phase is now over, and the future is focused on branding. I have had the pleasure of working with many talented people in various parts of the Group. I wish you all the best for the future, ” says Karin Aslaksen.

Aslaksen started in Elkem in 1996 with responsibility for the organization and implementation of Lean Operations. Aslaksen joined the executive management of Elkem in 2003 with responsibility for strategic HR/HSE/Lean. She has been a member of the Group Executive Board of Orkla since 2010 and has extensive experience with change processes related to start-ups, integration, mergers and acquisitions.

Karin Aslaksen resigns with effect from 1 February. The efforts to find her successor have begun.
