Ole Petter Wie to leave Orkla

Ole Petter Wie (48) wishes to start his own business and is resigning his position as Group Director Business Development.


Ole Petter Wie joined Orkla in November 2012, and has held the position of Group Director Business Development since January 2013.

In his role as head of Business Development, Ole Petter has assisted Group businesses in connection with the acquisition and sale of companies. He has played a key role in developing the Group’s overall strategy and portfolio, in addition to being responsible for Commercial Excellence and Branded Goods Investments.

“After an exciting period at Orkla, I want to be an entrepreneur again. I will spend this year establishing a new business. I would like to thank Orkla for the time that we have worked together, and wish Orkla and all the fantastic people in the company every success for the future,” says Ole Petter Wie.

“I want to thank Ole Petter for his dedicated efforts in a demanding period of extensive restructuring in the Group, and to wish him all success in establishing his own company,” says Karl Otto Tveter, Chief of Group Functions at Orkla.

Ole Petter Wie will by agreement follow up individual projects for some time to come.

Arve Heltne and Lars Olav Olaussen, who are in charge of Commercial Excellence and Strategy Development, respectively, will report to Karl Otto Tveter from now on. Espen E. Wiik, who is in charge of Branded Goods Investments, will report to Terje Andersen.
