Orkla and The Innovation Effect have jointly established the Young Sustainability Impact project to obtain ideas for new, forward-looking sustainability solutions.
Through the Orkla Friends Fund, Orkla has teamed up with The Innovation Effect, a young company that connects students to companies with innovative projects, and the Skills2Grow innovation project. The project has been named “Young Sustainability Impact”.
“Sustainability is high on the agenda at Orkla, and through this insight project we hope to gain new perspectives and ideas from dedicated students who are interested in this topic,” says Arve Heltne, SVP Orkla Marketing & Innovation.
The Innovation Effect has recruited an interdisciplinary team of students from different backgrounds, all of whom share a common commitment to sustainability.
“Partnering with ‘the new generation’ is intended to enable Orkla to innovate more accurately and quickly in new channels and markets, precisely with a view to reaching this younger target group more effectively than we are doing at present,” says Monica Skog Ravn, Nordic Marketing Director at Orkla Home and Personal Care.
The project, which will run for eight weeks, aims at mapping what students, entrepreneurs and various startup companies think about Orkla’s future scenario, “Young Sustainability Impact”, and coming up with suggestions for solutions based on this insight.
“We are excited to see what’s going on in startup communities and among the young, and look forward to presenting the project results live on the stage during Oslo Innovation Week,” says Nina Skalstad, Senior Project Manager New Growth and Innovation at Orkla Home & Personal Care.
Oslo Innovation Week is Europe’s biggest innovation convention, and will be held from 17 – 23 October.
