Orkla has once again been selected for inclusion in the Dow Jones Sustainability Europe Index.
Dow Jones today announced the results of this year’s sustainability indices review. The indices emphasise companies’ ability to address sustainability trends in a way that enhances the companies’ long-term profitability.
“Being included in the Dow Jones’ Sustainability Europe Index is a great recognition and an inspiration to continue to strengthen our commitment to sustainability. In the past few years, the Orkla companies have intensified their efforts in important areas such as nutrition and health, responsible sourcing and environment. This work has now been noticed,” says Ellen Behrens, VP Corporate Responsibility at Orkla.
The prestigious Dow Jones index covers the best 20 per cent of a total of 600 European companies, and Orkla is one of four companies in the FOA Food Products category. The other companies are Danone, Nestlé and Unilever.
This is the fourth consecutive year that Orkla is listed on the Dow Jones Sustainability Europe Index.
