Orkla is a signatory of the UN Global Compact and is actively engaged in the network to share experience and collaborate on achieving a sustainable development. We are also a member of Transparancy International and use the membership to obtain input for the Group’s anti-corruption work.
Orkla is engaged in dialogue and collaboration with a number of centres of expertise and special-interest organisations to seek advice and insights and collaborate on improvement efforts. Among other things, several companies collaborate with the Swedish Igelösa Life Science Community and the Antidiabetic Food Centre in Lund, Sweden, on research and development in the field of nutrition and health.
Orkla, Orkla Confectionery & Snacks Norge, Pierre Robert Group, Orkla Home & Personal Care (formerly Lilleborg) and Orkla Foods Norge are members of the Ethical Trading Initiative. Orkla Foods Sverige collaborates with a number of organisations in connection with its sustainability work, including the Marine Stewardship Council, the Keep Sweden Tidy Foundation and Friends.
Orkla has a regular dialogue with both the Norwegian Confederation of Trade Unions (LO) and special-interest organisations for food and agriculture. We also engage in a dialogue with environmental organisations such as Greenpeace, the Rainforest Foundation Norway and Framtiden i Våre Hender (The Future in Our Hands).
