Credin Portugal acquires Decorgel

Credin Portugal, a wholly owned subsidiary of Orkla Food Ingredients (“OFI”), has acquired 100% of the shares in Decorgel. The company will be part of the Credin Group.

“Decorgel’s fruit fillings and creams will complement Credin Portugal’s product offering and the acquisition will enable further growth in the Spanish and French markets. Credin Portugal’s commercial team will also be better positioned to serve our customers through the addition of a new, high-quality assortment,” says Credin Portugal CEO Fernando Coelho.

For founder Francisco Miranda, the transaction represents the culmination of a carefully planned transition process, ensuring the continuity and growth of the company under new leadership.

Decorgel has 51 employees and is located near Porto. The company is recognised for their competence and quality fruit fillings and creams which are sold to industrial companies and distributors predominantly in Portugal, France and Spain. Decorgel has experienced strong growth in recent years and generated revenues of EUR 6 million in 2024.

The parties have agreed to keep the purchase price confidential.
